Most users using free trial AmiBroker version will face this issue. This is due to a limitation of AmiBroker free trial version, which does not allow users to save timeseries data. As a result, they need to backfill the data everyday.
Solution
- Use AmiBroker paid version
- Do not shutdown your computer or virtual machine
Apart from the solution mentioned above, users are left with the only option to backfill the data everyday when you start your trading. Please note that AutoTrader will keep the data in it’s own database. Every time a user performs a backfill, the data is transferred from AutoTrader database to AmiBroker database. This makes sure that you will continue to gather historical data as you keep using AutoTrader.
