AB1007: Your user id or password is invalid
The AB1007 error appears on an Angel Broking trading account because the Login ID, Password or Smart API Key is wrong, or because your Angel Broking Login ID is not migrated to Smart API. Recheck your credentials first. If they are correct, ask Angel Broking to migrate your Login ID to Smart API.
When this happens
- 1 Wrong Login ID or Password entered into AutoTrader Web.
- 2 Your Angel Broking Login ID is not migrated to Smart API.
You get this error while using an Angel Broking trading account. Our system connects with Angel Broking through their Smart API product.
For account setup steps, see the Angel Broking Setup guide.
Solution 1: Adding a new account
Use this solution if you are trying to add a new account in the system.
First, check that the following details are correct:
- Login ID (mind capital and small case)
- Password
- Angel Smart API Key
To open your trading account details, go to the menu (Accounts -> Trading Accounts).
If all the above information is correct, then your ID needs to be migrated to Smart API.
To get it migrated, raise a request on the Angel Forums. Use the link below:

You can also email Angel One’s Smart API support at smartapi@angelbroking.com, or contact Angel One customer care, to get your ID migrated to Smart API.
Note: If Angel tells you the migration is complete, change your login password from Angel’s website. Then enter the new password on AutoTrader Web, click Validate and Save.
Solution 2: Fixing an existing account
Use this solution if you are getting the error for an account that already exists in the system.
- Go to the menu (Accounts -> Trading Accounts).
- Open your Angel account.
- Delete the account.
- Create a new account.
- Click Validate and Save.
