You will get this error while using Angel Broking trading account. Please note that our system integrates with Angel Broking using their Smart API product.
There are two common causes of this:
- Wrong Login ID or Password entered into AutoTrader Web
- Your Angel Broking Login ID is NOT migrated to Smart API
This solution is applicable if you are trying to add a new account in the system.
We hope you have already referred to Angel Broking Setup instructions.
First verify that your Login ID (check capital/small case), Password & Angel Smart API Key is correct. You can open your trading account details by navigating to menu (Settings -> Trading Accounts)
If the above information is correct, then your ID needs to be migrated to SmartAPI.
Please raise a request on Angel Forums to have your Angel Broking Login ID migrated to Smart API. The link to forum is given below:
Alternatively, you can also contact Angel Broking customer care to get your ID migrated to Smart API.
Note: If you have received a response from Angel that says migration is complete. Then please try changing your login password from Angel’s website. Then enter the new password on AutoTrader Web, click Validate & Save.
This solution is applicable if you are getting an error for existing account in the system.
- Go to menu (Settings -> Trading Account)
- Open your angel account
- Delete the account
- Create a new account
- Click Validate & Save
