Why the Orders or Positions screen shows pages
If a trading screen has a very large number of rows (more than about 1,000), it is shown in pages of 100 rows, with page buttons below the table. This keeps the screen quick to open. Nothing is hidden or lost. Select still picks every row that matches your current filter, across all pages, so a bulk cancel or square-off covers all of them. The totals at the bottom of the table, the search box and the Excel or CSV export also work on every matching row, not only the page you are looking at. Screens with fewer rows are shown exactly as before, on one page with no page buttons.
When this happens
- 1 The screen has more than about 1,000 rows, usually because you are viewing All Accounts.
- 2 You are looking at a full trading day, so closed, cancelled and rejected rows add up.
Some screens, such as Orders and Positions, can hold a very large number of rows. This is common when you pick All Accounts, or later in the day when completed, cancelled and rejected rows have built up.
Why the screen has pages
When a screen has more than about 1,000 rows, it is shown in pages of 100 rows. Page buttons appear just below the table so you can move between them.
This is done so the screen opens quickly. Drawing many thousands of rows at once makes a browser slow to respond, and on very large accounts the browser could even warn that the page is not responding.
If a screen has fewer rows, nothing changes. It is shown on a single page, and no page buttons appear.
Selecting rows across pages
This is the important part, and it works the way you would want.
Select picks every row that matches your current filter, on every page — not only the page in front of you.
So the usual way of working is unchanged:
- Filter the table, for example by symbol or by account.
- Click Select.
- Click Cancel, Modify or Sq-off.
If your filter matches 700 rows spread over 7 pages, all 700 are selected and all 700 are acted on. You do not have to visit each page.
Rows that your filter has hidden are still not selected. That has always been true, and it has not changed.
Deselect clears the selection on all pages.
Totals, search and export
These also cover every matching row, not just the page on screen:

When you switch account
When you change the account in the drop-down, the table is cleared straight away and then filled with the new account’s data.
You may briefly see an empty table while the new data is being fetched. This is deliberate. It makes sure you never see one account’s rows while a different account is selected, which matters because Cancel, Modify and Square-off act on whatever is selected.
Changing the sort order
Sorting works on the whole table, not on one page. If you sort by a column, the rows are ordered across all pages first, and then split into pages again. So the first page always shows the top of the sorted list.
