Does the expiry date apply to my own static IP (BYOIP)?
No. If you brought your own static IP (BYOIP), we never charge for it and we do not track when it expires — we cannot know, because you bought it from your own provider. The date you see on the account card in Settings, then My IPs is labelled Account license till, and it is your trading account's licence with us. It is not your IP's expiry date. Only a static IP you bought from us shows its own date, labelled IP valid till. So renew your own IP with the provider you bought it from. If it stops working, your static IP provider will reject all requests, and your account cannot reach your broker until you renew.
When this happens
- 1 The account card shows Account license till — your trading account's licence with us. It is not your IP's expiry date.
- 2 You brought your own IP, so its expiry is held by your provider. We never see it and never track it.
The short answer
No. An IP you bought yourself has no expiry date on our side. We never charge for it, and we do not track when it ends — only your provider knows that.
Which date you are looking at
Open Settings → My IPs and find the account’s card. Two different dates can appear there, and only one of them is about the IP:
| What you see | What it means | Does it apply to your own IP? |
|---|---|---|
| Account license till | Your trading account’s licence with us — the account you pay for every month. | No. It is about the account, not the IP. |
| IP valid till | The paid-until date of a static IP you bought from us. | No. Your own IP never shows this. |
A card for an IP you brought yourself is marked Your IP, and it says we do not track its expiry.
Renewing your own IP
Renew it with the provider you bought it from, before it runs out. Set your own reminder — we cannot remind you, because we do not hold that date.
If your own IP stops working, your static IP provider will reject all requests. Your account then cannot reach your broker, and orders will fail until you renew.
If you would rather not track it yourself
You can switch to a static IP from us, and then the renewal is handled with your account recharge. Open the account’s card in Settings → My IPs and pick a static IP from us instead. Only one IP source can be active at a time, so choosing ours removes your own IP from that account, and you will need to register the new address with your broker once.
