Trading blocked: your static IP has expired (SD-ERR-IPG-LICENSE)

In short
  • Your static IP is unpaid for the current period, so trading on that account is paused.
  • It is not a broker problem. The IP is still registered with your broker — nothing to whitelist again.
  • Add funds to your wallet and place the order again. The IP renews itself, usually within a minute or two.
  • You do not have to recharge the whole account — if the account is still within its dates, only the IP is charged.
  • Or pay for that one IP: Settings → My IPs → System IPs tab → Pay now.
  • Most common cause: a wallet that ran out part-way through a recharge, because the licence is charged first and the IP follows it.
  • We retry every day, so wallet balance added today clears it by the next day at the latest.

When this happens

  1. 1 Your wallet ran out during a recharge, so the static IP charge that follows the licence charge could not go through.
  2. 2 You recharged more than one account at once and the balance covered every licence but not every static IP.
  3. 3 The static IP's paid period ended and there was not enough wallet balance to renew it.
  4. 4 Auto-recharge was switched off, so nothing renewed the account or its static IP on its own.

What this means

A static IP belongs to one trading account, and it is paid for month by month along with that account. This message means the static IP is unpaid for the current period, so we stopped orders going out on it.

It does not mean anything is wrong at your broker. The IP is still registered there, and nothing has to be changed on the broker’s site. Only the payment is missing.

The account and its static IP are charged separately, so their dates can differ. An account can be well within its dates while its static IP is unpaid — that is exactly the case this message covers.

This applies only to a static IP you took from us. If you brought your own IP, it is never charged on our side and you will never see this message for it — see Does the expiry date apply to my own static IP?.

How to fix it

  1. Add funds to your wallet. Open the User menu in the top-right corner (click your name), click Account, and add funds on the Billing tab. Keep at least the IP’s monthly price in it — ₹100 for a Premium static IPv6, ₹200 for a Standard static IPv4.
  2. Place the order again. The static IP renews itself on the next attempt and trading resumes. If the first retry still shows the message, wait a minute or two and try once more.

You do not need to recharge the whole account. If the account is still within its dates, only the static IP is charged, and only for the days it covers.

Or pay for just that IP

If you would rather settle the IP on its own instead of placing an order to trigger it:

  1. Go to Settings → My IPs and open the System IPs tab.
  2. Find the IP that is past its date and click Pay now.

This charges only that static IP and leaves the account licence alone. You still need the IP’s price in your wallet first, so add funds before you click it.

This button is for the static IPs we provide. A Premium static IPv4 is billed on its own each month and does not show one — see Static IP not renewed because your wallet balance was low.

If you would rather clear it in one step, recharge the account from Accounts → Trading Accounts instead — that renews the account licence and its static IP together.

And if you do nothing at all, we present the bill again every day. So balance sitting in your wallet clears this on its own by the next day at the latest.

Why the wallet runs out part-way

An account recharge pays for two things: the account licence and that account’s static IP. The licence is taken first. If the wallet holds exactly the licence amount, there is nothing left when the static IP charge follows — the account looks perfectly fine while its IP quietly goes unpaid, and trading stops later with this message.

This is easiest to hit when you recharge several accounts in one go: the balance covers all the licences, then falls short on the last account’s IP.

To avoid it: when you top up, add the licence amount and the static IP amount for every account you are about to recharge. The recharge screen asks for both together, so the amount it quotes already includes the static IP for that account.

Check auto-recharge so it renews on its own

Auto-recharge is on by default. With it on, the account and its static IP renew on their own the next time you use the account, so trading resumes automatically and you never hit this pause — as long as your wallet has balance.

Go to Settings → General, find Auto Recharge Accounts in the Billing section, and check that it is on. Then keep enough balance in your wallet so the renewal can go through. Auto-recharge is a setting for your login, so it covers every account under it, not one account on its own.

Checking what an account owes

Open Accounts → Trading Accounts and click the account’s row. The account’s own expiry date is shown there, and the static IP with its own date is on the Static IP button. The two dates can differ — the account can be paid up while its IP is not.

How long you have

Trading is paused from the day the static IP’s paid period ends — there is no grace window for trading. The IP address itself is held for you for a while longer, so a top-up during that window brings the same address back, with nothing to whitelist again at your broker. If it stays unpaid to the end of that hold, the account is released to a shared IP and you would have to take a static IP again.
