Segment not enabled for your account

In short

Your order is rejected because the segment you are trying to trade (for example F&O or commodity) is not active on your broker account. This is a broker-side setting. Activate that segment with your broker, then place the order again. We cannot enable it from our side.

When this happens

  1. 1 The segment (F&O, commodity, etc.) is not activated on your broker account.

Errors

This applies to broker rejections about a segment not being active, such as:

  • NFO / BFO / MCX is disabled for your account. You can activate the segment on Console. (Zerodha)
  • Exchange NFO not enabled for your account. (Fyers)
  • You Have Not Authorised To Access This Segment. (Motilal Oswal)
  • Oops Sorry! You Have Not Authorised To Access This Segment. (Angel One)

What this error means

The order was rejected because the market segment you are trying to trade (for example the futures and options segment, or the commodity segment) is not active on your broker account.

This is a setting on your broker account, not on our system. So the segment has to be activated with your broker.

How to fix it

  1. Log in to your broker’s website or app.
  2. Activate the segment you want to trade (for example F&O or commodity). Most brokers have an “activate segment” option in their account or profile section.
  3. Wait for your broker to confirm the segment is active. This can take some time, depending on the broker.
  4. Once it is active, place your order again in AutoTrader Web.

Note: We cannot enable a segment for you. Only your broker can do it.
