SD-ERR-154: Licence renewal is disabled for the discontinued platform
SD-ERR-154 means the platform your account uses — the connection method you picked when you added it — has been discontinued, so we no longer renew licences on it. Your account keeps trading until its current licence runs out, but any recharge for it is declined. The message names the replacement platform in the second bracket. To fix it, go to Accounts -> Trading Accounts, open the account, change the Platform to the one named, complete any static IP steps that platform needs, and save. Then recharge as usual. Nothing is wrong with your broker account, your API keys or your wallet.
When this happens
- 1 The platform your account uses has been discontinued and replaced by a newer one.
- 2 Recharges are blocked on a discontinued platform, so the licence cannot be extended.
- 3 The account has not been moved to the replacement platform named in the message.
What this error means
You see a message like this when you try to recharge an account:
SD-ERR-154: Licence renewal is disabled for the discontinued platform [OLD_PLATFORM]. Please re-add this account on [NEW_PLATFORM] to keep it active.
When you add a broker account, you choose a platform. That is the connection method we use to reach your broker — a broker can offer more than one, and they are not all equal. Over time a broker replaces an older connection method, or a faster and cheaper one becomes available. When that happens we discontinue the old platform.
Once a platform is discontinued, we stop renewing licences on it. That is what this message is telling you:
- Your account keeps trading normally until its current licence runs out.
- Any recharge for it is declined, so the licence cannot be extended.
- When the licence runs out, the account stops trading.
This is not a problem at the broker’s end. Your broker account is fine, your API keys are fine, and your wallet balance is fine — none of them were checked, because the recharge stopped before that.
How to fix it
The message names the replacement in the second bracket. Move the account to it:
- Go to Accounts -> Trading Accounts and open the account.
- Change the Platform to the one named in the message.
- Complete anything the new platform needs. This usually means taking a static IP for it and registering that address with your broker — the account’s setup page lists the exact steps.
- Save the account.
- Recharge as usual. The recharge now goes through.
Do this before the current licence runs out and the account never stops trading.
Why we discontinue a platform
We only retire a platform when staying on it would leave you worse off — for example when the broker replaces the connection method it is built on, or when a newer one is faster and costs you less. Keeping both alive indefinitely would mean some accounts quietly running on the slower or more expensive option.
Blocking the recharge is deliberate. It is the point at which we can tell you clearly, rather than letting the account keep renewing on something we no longer develop.
Still stuck?
If the replacement platform is not offered when you edit the account, or you are not sure which static IP it needs, contact support with your account nickname and the exact message you see.
