We could not add your static IP to your new account

In short

You can take a static IP before your trading account is saved. The IP is only reserved at that point — it is attached to the account, and its first month is charged, when you save the account. If something stops that from happening, most often not enough wallet balance at that moment, the account is still saved but without the static IP, and we email you. Nothing is charged for the IP. The address you were shown is not yours, so remove it from your broker's dashboard — orders sent through it will be rejected. To fix it: add funds to your wallet if the email says the balance was short, open the account under Accounts → Trading Accounts, click Static IP and take one again, then whitelist the new address with your broker. You will get a different address, so the old one has to be replaced at your broker.

When this happens

  1. 1 Your wallet balance dropped between taking the IP and saving the account — often because that account's monthly recharge went out in between.
  2. 2 The static IP was no longer available by the time the account was saved.

What happened

Some brokers will not give you an API key until a static IP is whitelisted, so we let you take a static IP before your trading account is saved.

At that point the IP is only reserved for you. It is attached to the account — and its first month is charged — when you save the account.

If that step could not be completed, we save the account without the static IP and email you the reason. Nothing is charged for the IP.

Why it usually happens

Almost always, the wallet balance was enough when you took the IP but not when you saved the account. The most common reason is that the account’s own monthly recharge went out in between, which left too little for the IP’s first month.

The email tells you the exact reason.

What to do first — remove the IP at your broker

The address you were shown is not yours. If you already added it in your broker’s dashboard, remove it. Orders sent through an IP that is not yours will be rejected by your broker.

How to fix it

  1. Add funds if the email says your balance was short. Open the User menu in the top-right corner (click your name), click Account, and add funds on the Billing tab. Keep at least the IP’s monthly price — ₹100 for a Premium static IPv6, ₹200 for a Standard static IPv4.
  2. Go to Accounts → Trading Accounts and open the account. The account screen also shows the same reason, so you can check it there.
  3. Click the Static IP button and take a static IP again.
  4. Whitelist the new address with your broker.

You will get a different address this time — the earlier one does not come back. Make sure your broker’s dashboard has the new one.
