AB2001: Internal Error, Please try after sometime

Last updated 24 June 2026

Angel One errors AB1004 and AB2001 (please try after sometime)

In short

AB1004 (Something Went Wrong) and AB2001 (Internal Error) are temporary errors on Angel One's side. They mean Angel One's own system could not process the request just then. They are not a problem with your credentials, and not something we can fix from our side. Re-try after some time. If the error keeps coming, report it to Angel One support.

When this happens

  1. 1 Angel One's own system had a temporary internal problem while processing the request.
  2. 2 A short broker-side issue that usually clears on its own after a re-try.

You see these errors while using an Angel One trading account. Our system connects with Angel One through their Smart API product. The codes AB1004 and AB2001 come from Angel One, not from us.

For account setup steps, see the Angel One Setup guide.

Errors

This fix applies to both of these Angel One errors:

  • AB1004 — Something Went Wrong, Please Try After Sometime
  • AB2001 — Internal Error, Please try after sometime

Why this happens

Both codes are temporary internal errors on Angel One’s side. The request reached Angel One, but their system could not process it just then and sent back the error.

These are broker-side problems. They are not caused by a wrong Login ID, Password or Smart API Key, so you do not need to change any of your credentials for them. They do not happen all the time — they come and go, and they clear up on their own once Angel One’s system is working normally again.

How to fix it

  1. Re-try after some time. As the message itself says, these errors are temporary. Repeating the action a little later usually works.
  2. Report it to Angel One. If it keeps failing, the fix has to come from the broker. Email Angel One’s Smart API support at smartapi@angelbroking.com and tell them the exact code you are getting (AB1004 or AB2001).
