In short

These Motilal Oswal login errors mean the API secret key or the account details saved for your Motilal account are wrong. Open the account in Accounts -> Trading Accounts, correct the API secret key (and the user id / password), then click Validate & Save. Enter your own account's exact values.

When this happens

  1. 1 The API secret key saved for the Motilal account is wrong.
  2. 2 The user id or password saved for the Motilal account is wrong.

This fix applies to these Motilal Oswal login errors:

  • ApiSecretKey is Invalid In Header Parameter.
  • Invalid UserId Or Password.

What this error means

Motilal Oswal rejected the connection because one of the values saved for your account does not match — usually the API secret key, or the user id / password.

How to fix it

  1. Go to the menu (Accounts -> Trading Accounts).
  2. Click the small EDIT icon next to your Motilal Oswal account’s client id or login id.
  3. Check and correct your API secret key and your user id / password. Make sure they match exactly what Motilal Oswal gave you.
    • If you are not sure about a field, click the Help link at the bottom of the account edit screen.
  4. Click Validate & Save.
