Move broker accounts from one user to another

Yes, you can move broker accounts from one of your AutoTrader Web users (logins) to another. It has to be done manually, one broker account at a time, in the exact order below. Your remaining licence days stay with the account, they are not wasted.

Can I move accounts between my two users?

Yes. If you have two users (two logins) on AutoTrader Web, you can move broker accounts from one user to the other. There is no automatic transfer, so you do this yourself, one broker account at a time, in the exact order shown below.

How to move a broker account

Do these steps in this sequence for each broker account you want to move. Here “User 1” is the user you are moving the account from, and “User 2” is the user you are moving it to.

  1. Under User 1: go to (Accounts -> Trading Accounts) and click the small EDIT icon next to the account’s client id or login id. Keep this edit page open.
  2. Under User 2: create a new account (Accounts -> Trading Accounts -> Create). To stay logged in to both users at once, log in to User 2 in a separate browser incognito/private window.
  3. Copy the account details from User 1 to User 2.
  4. Delete the account from User 1. Do this before the next step — the order matters.
  5. Validate and save the account under User 2.

Important: Always delete the account from User 1 before you validate and save it under User 2.

Will my remaining licence days be lost?

No. Your remaining licence days stay with the broker account when you move it. They are not wasted.
