There are a few rare instances wherein we see an error received from your trading platform (or your stock broker’s server). Not much information is available on such errors.
We do not have a way to find out the details of the error, simply because we do not have access to the broker’s servers. Stock broker’s support team can obviously provide more details, but it is extremely difficult to explain these technical errors to broker’s support helpdesk. The helpdesk people are mostly non-technical people & these kind of errors need to investigated by developers or Level 3 technical support perosonnel.
Solution 1
- Verify that the failed operation (like order) has not executed (refresh the orders etc.)
- On very rare occasions, broker’s server might give an error but the operation can be successful. This mostly happens as there are multiple internal systems that a broker has & an operation (like placing an order) goes through many systems. If one of the system fails, the operation can be successful but say the resulting response giving endpoint system has some error.
- Simply re-try your failed operation after you have verified that it was not successful earlier.
