"[Account] is marked LIVE" — what this message means
This is a confirmation message, not an error. When you mark an account Live on the Accounts -> Trading Accounts screen, AutoTrader Web replies with "[your account nickname] is marked LIVE." to confirm the change went through. LIVE means the account is switched on and available to be used — it can trade, it is picked up by the API, by groups and by copy trading. NON-LIVE means the account is switched off and will be skipped. Nothing is wrong and nothing is blocked: you do not have to make an account non-live before you edit or validate it, and marking it live does not place any order by itself. If you saw this message while validating an account, your account is fine — just carry on.
This is a confirmation, not an error
If you see a message like:
[FSBpro] is marked LIVE.[MyAccount] is marked NON-LIVE.
that is AutoTrader Web confirming that your change was saved. The name in the square brackets is your account’s nickname. Nothing has gone wrong, and there is nothing to fix.
What LIVE and NON-LIVE mean
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| LIVE | The account is switched on and available to be used in the system. It can place and manage orders, and it is included when you trade through the API, a group account, or copy trading. |
| NON-LIVE | The account is switched off. It stays saved with all its details, but the system skips it — it will not trade and it is left out of groups and copy trading. |
Marking an account live does not place any order on its own. It only makes the account available for the actions you take.
You do not need to make an account non-live to edit it
You can open an account with the EDIT icon, change its details, and click Validate and Save while it is live. There is no rule that an account must be switched off first.
The only reason to mark an account non-live is when you genuinely want the system to stop using it — for example an account you are not trading for a while, or one you want left out of copy trading.
How to change the status
- Go to the menu (Accounts → Trading Accounts).
- Select the account’s row.
- Click Live or Non-live.
- The confirmation message appears, and the account’s status on the screen updates.
