InCred Equities

To trade through InCred Equities, you need API access on your InCred account. InCred gives you the API key only after your static IP is registered with them. So you save the account in AutoTrader Web first, without the API key, and add the key later.

What you need

Item	Where you get it
Login ID	Your InCred user ID, the one you use to log in to InCred’s web platform.
Password	The password you use to log in to InCred’s web platform (not your M-Pin).
TOTP Key	InCred’s TOTP setup screen (see How to get your TOTP key).
API Key	You generate it on InCred’s API portal, using your static IP (Step 3).
Static IP	Buy one from us, or bring your own. InCred supports IPv4 only.

Setup steps

Step 1: Save the account without the API key

1. In AutoTrader Web, go to the menu Accounts → Trading Accounts.
2. Click the Create button.
3. Select Broker: InCred.
4. Enter your Login ID, Password and TOTP Key.
5. Tick I don’t have my API key yet.
6. Click Save.

The account is saved but stays switched off. It cannot trade until you add the API key in Step 4.

Check your Login ID carefully before you click Save. You cannot change it later, and the static IP you buy in Step 2 is tied to this account.

Step 2: Get a static IP for the account

A static IP from our pool is not offered for InCred. Choose one of these:

• Buy a Premium static IP we set up for you. Open the account (Accounts → Trading Accounts → EDIT), click Static IP, and choose Buy Premium Static IPv4 from us. You can also buy it from Settings → My IPs, on the account’s card. It is ₹299 per month for each IP, with a 2-month minimum for the first purchase (₹598).
• Bring your own IPv4 static IP (BYOIP). See Static IP Setup for the kind of IP that works and how to add it.

Note down the IP address. You need it in the next step.

Step 3: Generate your API key on InCred’s API portal

1. Open InCred’s API portal. Always open it from this link; do not bookmark the login page it takes you to.
2. On the top bar, click My Subscriptions.
3. Log in with your InCred User ID and Password, then click LOGIN.
4. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click VERIFY.
5. On the Choose your API type page, tick TRADING API.
6. In Primary IP Address, enter the static IP from Step 2. Secondary IP Address is optional; leave it empty unless you have a second static IP for this account.
7. Tick I accept the Terms and Conditions.
8. Click Get your API, and copy the API key it shows you.

If the portal does not work for you, contact your InCred relationship manager or InCred customer care.

Step 4: Add the API key and switch the account on

1. Go to Accounts → Trading Accounts.
2. Click the small EDIT icon next to your InCred account.
3. Paste the API key into the API Key field.
4. Click Validate.
5. Once you see a success message, click Save.
6. Back on Accounts → Trading Accounts, select the account and click Live to switch it on.

Setup is a one-time activity. You do not need to repeat it every day.

How to get your TOTP key

TOTP (a time-based one-time password) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. You set it up once on InCred’s web platform.

1. Log in to InCred’s web platform.
2. Open the menu (the ☰ icon at the top right) and go to Settings.
3. Under Security Setting, switch on Enable TOTP.
4. InCred shows the Let’s setup your TOTP screen with a QR code.
5. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. This is for your own manual logins.
6. Under Can’t scan? Copy the key below, copy the key. This text is your TOTP Key. Paste it into the TOTP Key field in AutoTrader Web.

If TOTP is already switched on and you do not have the key, contact InCred customer care. Keep the key private, like a password.

Product types:

• Intraday (MIS) and Delivery (CNC) work as usual for equity.
• For F&O, use NRML (carry forward). InCred has no separate NRML product, so we send it as their delivery product, and it shows as NRML in AutoTrader Web.
• Whether intraday is allowed in F&O depends on your account’s risk profile (CRP) at InCred.

Things to know

• Market orders: InCred does not accept plain market orders through the API. AutoTrader Web sends your market order as a protected limit order, priced close to the current market price, so it fills like a market order.
• Stop-loss market (SL-M) orders are sent the same way, as a stop-loss limit order.
• Bracket and cover orders are not available, including AutoTrader bracket and cover orders (AT_BO and AT_CO).
• After-market orders (AMO) can be placed only outside market hours. InCred rejects an AMO during market hours.
• Average fill price: InCred does not report the average fill price in the order book, so it is not shown for InCred orders. Your positions still show the correct average buy and sell prices and P&L.
• Your account’s risk profile (CRP): InCred decides what your account may do, for example intraday F&O or selling shares you do not hold. If an order is rejected with a CRP message, ask InCred to enable it.

Static IP Setup

A static IP from our pool is not available for InCred. You have two choices for your InCred account: buy a static IP we set up for you, a dedicated IPv4 static IP that you only need to register with InCred (₹299 per month, with a 2-month minimum to start), or bring your own IPv4 static IP (BYOIP). InCred supports IPv4 only (it does not support IPv6).
