User Interface

This chapter walks through every screen in the web-based interface of AutoTrader Web.

The main goal of the interface is simple: give you a single, centralized view of all your trading accounts, no matter which broker each account belongs to. For an overview of how this broker-independent design works, see Broker Independence.

The screens are grouped into a few top-level areas. Use the links below to open any screen directly.

Getting started

User Registration — create your account and sign in.

Accounts

The Accounts menu is where you connect brokers and manage accounts.

Trading Accounts — add and manage your broker accounts.
Nicknames — give your trading accounts easy names (pseudo accounts).
Group Accounts — group accounts to trade many at once.
Master Accounts — copy one account’s trades to child accounts.
Owners — give each account owner a limited login.

Trading

The Trading menu shows the live state of your accounts and lets you trade from one Portfolio screen.

Summary — a combined portfolio summary.
Positions — open positions across accounts.
Orders — order book and order status.
Holdings — demat holdings you can sell across accounts.
Margins — available margins per account.
Trade — place and manage trades.
MarketWatch — watchlists with live prices.
GTT (Good Till Triggered) — trigger-based orders that rest until your price is hit.
Notifications — alerts about your orders and accounts.

Tools

The Tools menu holds activity logs and instrument data.

Activity — view recent activity.
Instruments — look up tradable instruments.

Settings

The Settings menu holds your preferences and access.

General — default preferences for your account.
Security — generate your API key and turn on two-factor login.
My Proxies — manage static-IP proxies for your broker accounts. See Static IP Setup.

User

The User menu groups your account-level options.

Account — balance, payments, license and ledger.
Profile — view and update your profile details.
